Cold Steel's unique Blowgun

This blowgun is capable of shooting heavier arrows faster than some other models on the market! Their effective range is approximately 18 meters and, with proper training, an experienced shooter can reach a 5 cm diameter circle at an incredible distance and fire heavy arrows that can penetrate a plywood plate of approximately 1.3 cm thick.

Easy to transport, the blowgun is lightweight and, thanks to the rubber eyelet, is ideal as a walking stick. But if you're looking for an even more practical model that fits into a backpack, Cold Steel has a solution!

The approximately 152 cm model, which can be dismantled into two parts, consists of two threaded tubes and a reinforcing connecting piece. It offers the same bending rigidity, precision and reach as a standard model, but has the advantage of being easy to disassemble and store.

A little history

The blowgun has a long history around the world. It is believed to have originated in Malaysia and traveled through the Malaysian and Indonesian archipelagos to the Philippines and even Japan. However, the blowpipe was not exclusive to Southeast Asia. It also appeared in the Western Hemisphere – from the jungles of South and Central America to the southeastern regions of what is now the United States. Blowguns, fitted with small stones or pellets of hardened clay, were used to hunt small animals and birds.
