Collection: SOG

The history of SOG:

It all begins in Vietnam, where members of a highly classified American special operations unit - known as MACV-SOG - carried a unique combat knife into the jungle on covert missions. Years later, in 1986, this knife inspired a young designer, Spencer Frazer, who founded SOG Specialty Knives. His mission: to reproduce the original SOG Bowie knife and pay homage to the special operations unit that created it. What started as just a commemorative model quickly grew into a full line of innovative tools, field-tested by U.S. Special Forces and even recognized as the knife of choice for Navy SEALs. Today, SOG knives are carried with confidence in the most demanding situations. Forged in tradition, hardened in the field, sharpened for you.

Whether you're protecting others or leading an epic hunting expedition, tackling one of life's daily challenges or facing the most extreme conditions, lead the way with SOG.

A lifelong passionate leader

"We don't settle for ordinary. We never have, and we never will." said Spencer Frazer.

Born in 1955, Spencer Frazer was a creative child with a great curiosity about how things worked. Growing up, while in the Boy Scouts, he developed an affinity for knives and axes. But it was not until much later that this interest was channeled into the creation of knives and tools.
