The Advanced Removable Red Dot (MD-RB-AD) takes everything we learned from the once best-selling ADS red dot in the line. The improvement brings it to an additional degree of refinement in terms of quality and finishes.

The Micro Red Dot Advanced Primary Arms Sight offers an estimated battery life of 50,000 hours. CR2032 batteries included, powering an ultra-sharp 2 MOA red dot. Fully multi-coated lenses and an ultra-low profile light source ensure a sharp view with minimal lens tint for the clearest brightness possible .

The eleven brightness intensity levels are controlled by the rotary knob on the right side. The first two settings are compatible with night vision units and are not visible to the naked eye in broad daylight. The brightest settings are designed to be clearly visible during the day. The light button must be reset to “0” in order to turn off the red dot.

This device is ideal when you want to have aiming speed, without adding a lot of weight to your firearm.

Covered by the Primary Arms lifetime warranty, this red dot sight is designed to be used on firearms with high recoil such as 12 gauge shotguns but also for AR-15 and AK-47 type weapons with recoil softer.

Constructed from 6061 aluminum with a Type II matte black anodized finish. Waterproofing is improved over previous models, the turret caps are now aluminum instead of plastic and tighten around the O-rings until the metal contacts the scope body. Once removed, the turret caps can be used to adjust windage and elevation. It comes with a removable 1913 MIL STD Picatinny base.

Once the base is removed, the scope body is compatible with industry standard micro mounting systems, allowing the Advanced Red Dot to be mounted correctly on a wide variety of firearms.

Nico's advice

This red dot absolutely exceeded all my expectations. Glass quality is at least as good as Aimpoint T-1 and approaches that of T-2. The lenses are obviously smaller than Trijicon MRO with less field of view, but this sight has much less blue tint and less flare. Simply exceptional. I will buy more. I cannot comment on reliability or durability as time will tell.

This is my first Primary Arms red dot and has a lifetime warranty. Everything you need in one compact item. I'm thinking of doing a torture test to find out its limits. Budget or not, it's a red dot that has all the makings of a big one.

The fact that it is good value for money allows you to put this model on several weapons, which is much more difficult if you want to equip five weapons with red dots at 700 euros...

I own other optics and so far I am very impressed with the Primary Arms Advanced. The turret buttons are a bit bulky, as is the adjustment knob, but that's just an observation.

Many snobs will find fault with any product that does not have a recognized brand yet. They will talk about blue tint, slight magnification, etc.

For me the optics hold the zero well, don't overwhelm, and allow you to get good scores on the target, it's ok for me. Like I said, time will tell, good value for money.
