This authentic sharpening stone for professional knives, made in Japan, will allow you to maintain or revive a perfectly sharp blade edge over time. The grain density of knife sharpening stones is a guarantee of quality and longevity. The stone comes with its support base to prevent the sharpening stone from moving during sharpening.
This stone is double-sided. The two sides each allow different sharpening according to your needs:
- Face 3000 (yellow) the fineness of the grains of this face makes it possible to refine the edge of the blades to medium HRC (from 56 to 59).
- Face 1000 (red) a medium grain for most blades, it is suitable for blades with a hardness between 53 and 59 HRC, your blades will no longer dull and their quality will be preserved.
For a perfect sharpening finish and perfect maintenance of your blades, we advise you to use, after sharpening with a stone, an oil which protects your blades from corrosion and nourishes the wood of the handle of your knife. Finally, use a chamois cloth to remove excess product and restore luster and shine to your blades.
Using advice :
First let the stone soak in cold water for about 15 minutes, then you can place the stone on its base, place your blade on the stone at an angle of 10° to 20°. Move one side of the blade back and forth across the stone, applying light, steady pressure, then do the second side of the blade.
Be careful to avoid cracking and damaging your stone, dry it immediately after use using a dry cloth and store it in a dry place.
