This 3 piece set is our interpretation of the classic Shuriken or a throwing star for others. Used for centuries in China and Japan, the shuriken is a well-balanced piece of flattened steel with 3 or more sharp points. When thrown freehand, its design ensures that at least one tip lands each time.
Cold Steel brand throwing models bear no resemblance to cheap, low-quality Shurikens. They have been laser cut with precision and great care from high carbon steel, then heat treated to achieve a durable harden before being sharpened. They are then treated with a black, oven-baked epoxy finish to protect them from the elements and repeated throwing.
