The original Petromax Cast Iron Pot, often called the Dutch Oven, is perfect for cooking and baking outdoors or in the oven at home. Cast iron pots have been around since the 18th century. At the time, the unique properties of cast iron were already appreciated. With the cast iron pot, Petromax revives this tradition while equipping the pot with a multitude of refined details.
Petromax quality of cast iron
Thanks to the excellent characteristics of cast iron and the special surface structure, heat is retained and distributed efficiently. The pre-treated (seasoned) surface eliminates the need for initial seasoning and the robust cast iron pot can be used immediately. Outdoors, it is used over an open fire or with coal and briquettes. Thanks to the raised edge of the lid, embers and coal can be placed on the cast iron pot. The pot is thus heated on all sides and therefore also allows, for example, bread to be baked.

The Dutch oven features ingenious details that make it easy to handle and give you an amazing cooking experience. The Dutch oven can be lifted safely with a sturdy handle, three legs give it stability, and a thermometer hole lets you check the temperature without having to lift the lid. It allows you to prepare meals for more than twenty people.
