Elite HU60 USB Rechargeable Headlamp - Nitecore

Thanks to the HU60's headlight mount, it can cover a wide angle with its light and there is no fixed intermediate position in which the headlight must be aimed.
Its design is superb, knowing that this headlamp comes with a smartwatch to operate it.
According to Nitecore, the operating distance between the watch and the lamp can be up to 2 meters. The smartwatch strap is long enough to wear over a winter jacket for easier access, even when outdoors.
The supplied rubber accessory allows other external batteries to be more firmly attached to the HU60 cable.

The USB Elite HU60 is the new headlamp that can be controlled with its connected bracelet. Lightweight with a wide diffusion range (100°), thanks to its tilting head up to 170°, it can cover the entire field of vision. Delivered with a long USB cable which cannot be detached from the lamp, it must be plugged into an external power source, thus offering it very high autonomy. You can change the lighting modes using its connected watch. The lamp has 5 light modes, Precision and Ambiance, working together or separately depending on needs:

• M1: 100% Atmosphere / Maintenance
  
• M2: 75% Ambiance + 25% Precision / Mountaineering and Caving
  
• M3: 50% Ambiance + 50% Precision / MTB, Trail , Running
  
• M4: 25% Ambiance + 75% Precision / EDC , Camping

Note that the TURBO level is not accessible if the USB power source output is less than 18W and only M1 and M5 are available with 5 lumens output.

The HU60 cable incorporates a clip specially designed for NPB batteries (NPB1 /N PB2 /NBP4 ) to prevent accidental disconnection from the power source. You can also connect the lamp to another external battery such as the NB5000 : a special clip is provided for this purpose to keep the lamp connected.

Specificities

Connecting to a power source
Use the supplied USB cable to connect the lamp to an external power source, and the switch indicator light on the projector will constantly turn on/off to inform the user. The NITECORE NPB external battery is recommended as it has a lock on the output ports specifically designed for the HU60's USB cable, to prevent accidental disconnection from the power source.

Warnings:
1. WARNING! Hard light ! Don't look at the light! This can be dangerous for your eyes.
2. When the product is kept in a backpack, please disconnect it from the power source to avoid accidental activation.
3. When the product is not used for a long time, please disconnect it from the power source to save energy.

Connected watch
The HU60 lamp is designed with a watch connected to the wrist, for wireless control. After pairing, the buttons on the remote control have the same functions as those on the lamp as shown. The connection is already preset at the factory before
the packaging.
- The remote control is powered by a 3V CR2025 button battery which allows approximately 10,000 presses. Standby time is about 12 months, if the battery is inserted at full power.
- The effective distance is approximately 2m, if there are no obstacles between the lamp and the connected watch.
- When the remote control battery needs to be replaced, please use a screwdriver or coin to unscrew the cover counterclockwise until one of the dots on the cover is aligned with the unlock symbol, insert the battery with the positive end facing out, and then screw the cover clockwise until one of the points lines up with the lock symbol.

Please follow the steps below to reconnect the devices when the remote control or headlamp is replaced:
1. After the lamp is connected to the power source, press and hold the switch and T button on the lamp for more than 3 seconds until the indicator under the switch flashes quickly to indicate that the lamp is connecting. (This state will last approximately 30 seconds)
2. When the lamp is connecting, press and hold the switch and T button of the connected watch until the lamp lights up to indicate that the connection is complete.

Remarks :
1. When the lamp is connecting but the procedure is not completed within 30 seconds, the lamp will automatically return to standby status.
2. When the lamp is turned on during connection, it automatically exits this state.
3. During the connection procedure, please ensure that the lamp and the connected watch are kept within 30cm.
4. Consider replacing the battery of the smartwatch when its power is low.
Replacing the battery will not cause the devices to re-pair.

ON/OFF
We : When the light is off, long press the switch to turn it on.
Off: When the indicator light is on, long press the switch to turn it off. (HU60 has a memory function. When it is turned on again, it automatically enters the previous use state.)

Brightness levels
When the lamp is on, lightly press the switch to navigate between the levels ULTRALOW – LOW – MID – HIGH – TURBO.

Precision/Ambience Setting
This headlamp has a Precision/Ambience adjustment function. The spotlight and floodlight output ratio is stepped or continuously adjustable over a certain brightness level.

Step-by-step settings
5 output modes are preset in step setting:
M1: 100% Atmosphere
M2: 75% Ambiance + 25% Accuracy
M3: 50% Ambiance + 50% Precision
M4: 25% Ambiance + 75% Accuracy
M5: 100% Accuracy

When the light is on, short press the W button to each time increase the floodlight output (ambience) and decrease the spotlight output (precision) until it reaches M1; or short press the T button each time to increase the spotlight (precision) output and decrease the floodlight (ambience) output until it reaches M5.

Continuous adjustment
When the light is on, press and hold the W button to increase the floodlight (ambience) output and decrease the spotlgiht (accuracy) output until it reaches M1; or press and hold the T button to increase the spotlight (precision) output and decrease the floodlight (ambience) output until it reaches M5. Release to select the desired state.

Noticed : 
Only M1 and M5 are available at the ULTRALOW level. When the output is at ULTRALOW level, short press the W button to switch to M1; or short press the T button to switch to M5.

ATR temperature regulation
The Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) system allows the HU60 lamp to dynamically adjust its lighting level based on its internal temperature. This prevents the lamp from overheating and increases its lifespan.
