A few years ago, Cold Steel® released a new line of high-quality Japanese swords under the name Emperor Series. The response from customers was extremely positive, but the idea emerged that there were also Asian bladed weapon enthusiasts who wanted to buy a saber suitable for combat at an affordable price.
The introduction of the Warrior series was the logical response to this demand. Like the Emperor swords, the Warrior collection models are made from high performance 1060 steel. The temper and sharpness of the blades are also identical. However, in order to reduce production costs, Cold Steel has dispensed with the elaborate high-gloss polishing and opted for a more appropriate finish. The Warrior collection is therefore the ideal choice for training and performing cutting tests (tameshigiri) without damaging the blade.
