The Katana from the Wind and Thunder range thought and designed by Paul Chen and Hanwei was specially developed with the aim of serving martial arts practitioners
looking for a sword for heavy cutting events.

This katana is equipped with a heavier and thicker blade while retaining an assembly of traditional style parts to consolidate the structure, as well as the parts intended to reinforce and protect. The hilt of the katana has a motif of the God of thunder and lightning from Japanese mythology, better known as Raijin , and was made from blackened stainless steel.
The fuchi (metal part of the handle) and the kashira (metal part that protects the end of the handle, comparable to the pommel) are decorated with a Japanese Tomoe motif .

This is completely normal. This is an ancient symbol representing a whirlwind or vortex, composed of three elements gravitating around them. It was used as a family crest or as a company logo. The tsuka (handle of Japanese weapons) was designed from authentic ray skin (Samekawa) and the black tsuka-ito (special braid intended to cover the handle of the katana) is made of fairly good quality Japanese cotton.
The Saya (sheath) is painted a deep black color and is also equipped with a black cotton Sageo (small rope attached to the sheath).
