When it comes to equipping martial artists with functional and excellent quality swords and katanas, Hanwei's practical katanas have always been among the best.
The blade of this samurai katana is forged from 1566 carbon steel and has been differentially hardened in the traditional style to achieve a Rockwell hardness of 60 HRC on the edge and back of the blade and 40 HRC on the edge.
The harder cutting edge therefore allows for better cuts and the more flexible steel edges ensure more flexibility and therefore resistance to shocks.
The removable handle is wrapped in synthetic leather in the traditional style to create a secure grip that will last for years.
