This katana is designed for the practice of iaïdo. The iaïto (居合刀 iaïtō) is a Japanese training weapon. It is made like a katana (刀 samurai sword) but it is not sharpened.
The iaïtō is used in the practice of iaïdo (居合道 iaïdō, the art of drawing the sword) and iaïjutsu (technique which emphasizes the speed and realism of the cut).

- The blades of the swords are forged from non-sharp 420 stainless steel .
- Depending on weight, dull blades with a non-rounded tip include a fuller (Bo-Hi).
- The handles (Tsuka) are made of wood and completed with original ray skin (Same).
- The handle wraps (Tsuka-Ito) in black cotton have been applied in the traditional way.
- Two Menukis have been placed in the handles.
- The ends of the handles are particularly long and attached to the handle with two bamboo pins (Mekugi).
- The sheaths (Saya) are made of wood and discreetly painted to preserve the beautiful grain.
- Manufacturing followed historical models
