The Cold Steel Templar is a specialized throwing ax for competitive throwers in modern sports.
Designed and inspired by famous custom knife maker Dave Baker, the Templar is inspired by an old historic throwing axe, known as the Hurlbat .
Made from a single piece of hardened carbon steel, an ultra-strong and flexible steel used in the automotive industry to make truck shock absorbers. Even after shocks, twists and other intense stresses, they return to their original shape as if nothing had happened.
When it comes to hitting the target, the best part of acquiring a shuriken, throwing star, or ax is hearing that satisfying "tock" over and over again, throw after throw.
With its ax profile, spikes on the top and back, the Templar hits the target with impact force at virtually any distance. Its weighted balance on the head allows a throw from greater distances.
