The Gold Lion Wakizashi is in all respects (materials, shape and finish) a piece of exceptional quality.
It's equally light and agile, made from high-quality materials. The Damascus steel blade has been expertly hand drawn and polished to a high shine.
It features a Hamaguri cut, an Iori Mune (A-shaped pointed blade spine), and a wave-shaped hardness line (Hamon), created by hardening in the steel layer.
The tsuba, fuchi and kashira are all made of black iron and decorated with 24-karat gold leaf. The handle, which is covered in white ray skin, is wrapped in black silk cord.
The menuki bears the symbol of the Japanese Shisa (lion dog), which in its function as guardian or protector is an appropriate motif for this beautiful light sword.
