The sharp blade of the Combat Commander Thai Nagi sword from United Cutlery is made from 1065 carbon steel with a sturdy black coating. The handle is made of nylon fibers and is incredibly durable!

It's not a long dagger, it's not a short sword, it's not a spear, it's not a handgun, but there's just a little bit of each of those things in the mix, and the result is something you'll fall in love with as soon as it comes out of the box. It's just nice.

The balance point is at the top of the handle, just below the blade, and the shape of the handle draws your hand toward it very naturally. The blade is thin but well made, the edge is quite sharp (but I'll sharpen it when I get the chance), and the tip design is very well suited to the kind of thrusts you would do with a short spear . (Trying it on 4 ply cardboard boxes, I was pleased with how easily it went through, cleanly and effortlessly). The way it balances in the hands makes it feel nimble and responsive, and almost weightless - this would be perfect for a petite woman (or someone who isn't a muscular barbarian) to use for fun or in case it is enshrined under the law, for home defense, as it is light and fast but still capable of inflicting brutal damage, both at close range and at medium range scope.

A nylon sheath with shoulder strap is included for easy carrying.
