With features such as thru-tang hilt construction, hardened stainless steel pommel and guard, 2mm rounded edge thickness, this is an ideal sword for re-enactment or showfighting. The cord-wrapped leather handle feels exceptional in the hand, with an oval cross-section and slight barrel shape to prevent fatigue and ensure a firm grip. The handle is wide enough to suit armored hands. A respectable bead runs along the entire length of the sword to lighten and counterbalance the whole. Each sword comes with a wooden and leather sheath fitted with a stainless steel cover.
The blunt blade is forged from 9260 spring steel and is hardened to approximately 50 HRC, providing a durable sword.
The guard deserves special mention, as it features the King-Peen system. The King-Peen system essentially consists of a steel tab on the hilt, below the hilt, that is secured through the tang of the sword. This process prevents the guard from coming loose after a long period of time without compromising the strength of the handle. The pommel is pressed into place and heat dipped.
