This is a magnificent ceremonial and commemorative dagger, which is of historical significance. The HERRING NE is a modern version of the Fairbairn Sykes dagger which has been part of Italian history since World War II. It was developed in collaboration with the Italian 185th RAO (Regiment Acquisition Objectives). Extrema Ratio is committed to staying true to the original Fairbairn Sykes dagger by using modern techniques to develop it. This dagger has a polymer sheath with a historical frieze of F Squadron. Two commemorative scrolls are also included.
BLADE : The HERRING NE blade is a simulacrum replica (simulacrumn means resemblance in Latin) of the original Fairbairn Sykes dagger. It has a blunt edge and a rounded tip. This allows the dagger to be sold worldwide.
HANDLE : The handle of the HERRING NE is made of brass. The handle has a very special handmade finish. This finish simulates aged brass and creates an antique appearance similar to that of the original Fairbairn Sykes dagger.
SHEATH : The beautiful HERRING NE sheath is made of leather and Kydex. It has a brass tip.
