Despite its small size, the Kershaw Cinder has the same characteristics as a large knife.
When in the open position, the knife measures 10.2cm, its blade only occupies 3.6cm of this length. When in the closed position, it measures 6.6cm.
Even with a size like this, this knife has enough to satisfy you. Its blade is finely polished, and made from 3Cr13 stainless steel. It can be used as a cord cutter or even a box cutter.
Its Drop-point blade has a beautiful curve that adapts perfectly to your thumb if you feel the need to press on it, to exert additional pressure.
The blade features a thumb button, which makes one-handed opening simpler and easier.
The blade has a good sharpness. If you had to sharpen it, the 3Cr13 steel is very easy to sharpen and retains its edge well.
The handle is made from GFN , and features a nicely grooved pattern of ridges. When in the open position, the lock remains secure and there is no blade play when it is locked.
The knife has a strap loop and a bottle opener which adds other functionality to it.
When handling, the Kershaw Cinder is remarkably ergonomic. Its handle curves in strategic places in the hand, to offer you many different grips, to adapt to the task at hand.
In terms of value for money I'm impressed, it certainly offers better value for money compared to some keychain knives I've seen.
