The Extrema Ratio Misericordia was adopted by the 4th Alpine Parachute Regiment which participated in the development and testing of the product. It is a fixed blade tactical knife, extremely light and compact, it can be used both as a main knife or as a backup blade.

The blade is made of Böhler N690 steel, heat treated to a hardness of 58 HRc, is 118 mm long, 4 mm thick and has a flat edge. The profile is spear point type, with a bead over the entire length which makes the blade even lighter and with a false edge of ¾ length. The blade is available in the classic MIL-C-13924 Extrema Ratio black finish.

The fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle features the classic Extrema Ratio grooves that make the grip more secure and is attached to the tang by means of a through-screw. At the rear, the handle flows, joining a large ring, which allows the use of martial arts techniques and provides the hand with a very solid grip, equipped with a hard metal "crusher skull" appendage.

The total weight of the knife is only 87g. Being a knife designed for professional use, great attention has been paid to ease of transport, accessibility and extraction when necessary.

The knife is secured to the sheath by a quick-release safety that can be easily reversed for left-handed use. The sheath is made of high-strength nylon, it is very versatile and two adjustable loops allow it to be fixed inside the MOLLE system loops.

The sheath is equipped with a conical invitation to facilitate the reinsertion of the knife while a simple pressure on the trigger safety allows it to be extracted quickly and instinctively.
