Children's knives are an effective way to develop the autonomy of your little ones and to enjoy a pleasant moment of exchange whether during a walk in a park, on an expedition in the forest or even on vacation at the campsite. Note that adult supervision remains mandatory.

Blade Features

Its drop point blade is made of robust, high quality Swedish stainless steel, Sandvik 14C28N. This outdoor knife features a anti-corrosion finish matte on the surface, which increases its durability and gives it an attractive appearance.

This knife with full tang construction is sharp, carving with a sharp blade minimizes the risk of injury because less pressure is required. The blade features a classic Scandinavian cut, typical of knives from the Scandinavian region (without a second cutting bevel).

Noticed :
Due to the classic Scandinavian cut, we recommend that difficult work such as threshing thick branches with an ax or hatchet be carried out by an adult.

Handle characteristics

The sturdy G-10 handle is non-slip , it ensures a secure grip.

For greater security, finger guard prevents the index finger from slipping on the cutting edge. Screw sleeves (3mm inner diameter) matching the matte finish of the blade allow easy disassembly for knife maintenance. A paracord lanyard can be attached as a sleeve loop to hang it on a hiking backpack for example.

The kydex sheath

A robust and almost unbreakable Kydex sheath is provided.

Like a second skin, it closes around the knife and allows it to be worn in complete safety; humidity, mud and cold cannot damage it.
The special feature of the Kydex holster is the presence of a firesteel with a Kydex backing, which is held securely by an elastic band in the color of the handle. The firesteel ignites easily at the cavity at the back of the blade.

Use of this knife requires supervision by adults and above all learning the basic rules of good use , such as carving seated, away from the body and never towards you or moving with the knife always closed.

Rules for decoupage with children

Since a knife is a sharp object, clear rules should be established from the start. Although our products are perfectly designed for little hands, certain safety measures must be respected:

1.) Always carve while sitting, because the following rule applies: “He who carves sits!”

2.) Adopt correct posture when sculpting: For a secure grip, feet are firmly on the floor when sitting with your legs apart. The upper body is slightly leaned forward and the arms are on the thighs.

3.) When carving, always keep a safe distance of two arm lengths (approximately one meter) from other people.

4.) The sculpting movement should always move away from the body.

5.) After carving, the blade is stored safely in the sheath.
