Designed for everyday use, Cold Steel's lightweight Verdict range offers heavy-duty folding knives that are comfortable, safe and easy to use thanks to the proven Tri-Ad locking mechanism. Fully ambidextrous and built like a tank, the Verdict is a reliable choice for EDC use. This 3" version is equipped with a 4116 stonewashed stainless steel blade and a GFN FDE scale handle.
Blade: The 4116 stainless steel blade features a tough, wear-resistant, stone-washed finish and a high saber edge for exceptional strength and balanced performance, and just under 3 inches of cutting edge to get the job done. The two push buttons allow for ambidextrous deployment and are mounted on nylon washers for rapid deployment.
Handle: Micro-textured glass-filled nylon (GFN) scales provide a strong, lightweight handle that is comfortable, secure and weather-resistant. Finger grooves and a wide index guard provide additional security during heavy use. Exceptionally strong and easy to use, the Tri-Ad Lock is super strong and ready for serious use.
Transported using a reversible stainless steel clip.
4116 Stainless Steel: A German medium carbon stainless steel, also known as 1.4116. Similar to 420HC, it has good corrosion resistance, high strength, good sharpness and moderate edge retention. Used in premium Henckels and Wusthof kitchen knives.
Tri-Ad Lock: The Tri-Ad lock system works like a rear lock: simply press the lock bar to release the blade. Adding a detent pin between the blade tang and the locking bar to handle the pressure of the locking force results in a lock capable of holding an absurd amount of weight (+800 lbs of weight hanging free) during testing. The design allows the spring to be self-adjusting for reliable operation over time.
