The Benchmade Immunity is a mid-sized tactical/EDC folding knife with a Wharncliffe style blade.
Coming from a long line of folding knives for everyday use, the Full Immunity from Benchmade is one of the last to have received the butterfly logo on its blade. Designed to be comfortable and easy to conceal, the Full Immunity reflects a heritage of folding knives with elements of the Bugout and Bailout knife families, while offering something entirely different.
The 290BK Full Immunity incorporates a Wharncliffe blade made from Cobalt Black Cerakote finished CPM-M4; a sturdy steel made in the United States that has been popular in knife making due to its high carbon and vanadium composition. M4 steel is an incredibly hard, abrasion-resistant steel with an HRC of 62-64, making it ideal for maintaining a sharp edge cut after cut. Measuring 2.49" in length and sharpened from a 0.09" thick blade, this unique blade shape excels in precision work thanks to its razor-sharp tip and deep slicing profile. The tip angle provides great piercing force, with a wide blade and a junction at the back of the blade for control and leverage, making it ideal for tactical applications.
When deployed, the overall length of the 290BK Full Immunity is 5.94" and folds down to just 3.46" and 0.5" thick, making it ideal for concealment. The aluminum handle 6061-T6 Crater Blue features diamond patterns for a secure grip, with ergonomic contours for your fingers, ambidextrous anodized thumb lugs on the blade for easy opening, and Benchmade's signature AXIS locking mechanism , holds the blade in place when in use. A reversible mini pocket clip allows the knife to be carried upwards, for both right and left-handed users. A tether cord hole located on the top of the handle comes equipped with a tether cord and machined bead.At only 2.29 oz, you won't believe how lightweight this knife is for your tactical and EDC needs.
