Due to increasing demand from professional customers, Extrema Ratio decided to develop a survival tool adapted to each situation.
Hence the ONTOS, from the Greek word meaning "the thing", a pure field knife, robust, heavy but compact. Part of the blade is serrated so the knife is always sharp and ready for use.
The nylon thigh sheath with MOLLE system stays on the soldier even when he is forced to abandon his heavy primary tactical equipment in case of retreat.
Thanks to its survival kit provided, the Ontos thus becomes a real survival tool. A glow stick (12 hour burn time) and a diamond sharpener are also included in the kit.
The survival kit contains:
A water bag, disinfectant tablets, a nylon cord, a button compass, a candle, a flint + a chopping iron, a fishing substitute, a mini multitool, matches, a sewing kit, a razor, a signaling mirror, a whistle, a loop of cable, a cable saw, a pencil, a survival manual in English.

Ce couteau excelle dans toutes les catégories d'outdoor même s'il peut paraitre peu séduisant.
Il est super tranchant, lourd, très ergonomique. Un compagnon de confiance qui donne dans la robustesse !
Le kit de survie est très complet et c'est toujours bon de l'avoir avec soi des lors que l'on sort des sentiers battus.

Bonjour, le Ontos porte bien son nom de "chose" :D
Imposant, avec une lame qui fait les trois quart de la masse du couteau, vous êtes en présence d'un couteau qui est prêt à tout et n'importe-quoi. La seule limite est ce que vous êtes prêt à faire avec un couteau de ce prix.
Un manche, qui à première vue ne semble pas offrir une bonne prise en main, offre une très bonne prise en main et un bon confort d'utilisation.
La lame est très durable mais opposant quelques difficultés à son aiguisage, l'acier et l'épaisseur sont très difficile à travailler. La forme de la lame dit tanto est, au contraire des apparences, plus facile à travailler qu'une forme classique dit drop point.
Voila, le couteau offre un vrai plaisir d'utilisation dans votre jardin ou sortie nature, gommant les petits détails décevant comme une aiguisage non rasoir en sortie de boite et un revêtement qui laisse des traces lors des premières coupes et nettoyages.
