That's what the Gerber StrongArm does: it's a classic fixed blade designed for brute force with a revolutionary scabbard system, the first of its kind.
The 420HC steel blade promises strength and maneuverability . It's also thin enough to perform more subtle tasks. The matt black ceramic coating provides better resistance to corrosion and wear . The tang extends from the tip of the blade to the end of the handle. It sticks out slightly at this end. Ideal for making an improvised hammer or a window breaker.
The handle is made of FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon). Lightweight and very durable . For even more grip Gerber has added a rubber overmolding.
The particularity of this knife is the very luxurious sheath which is included in fact it allows various positions according to your needs and for greater practicality:
- Drop leg , the StrongArm can be worn traditionally on the hip thanks to a snap closure which prevents the knife from flapping in the sheath.
- Horizontal belt , the belt loops of the sheath are fully detachable, allowing horizontal and discreet wearing along the waist.
- Vertical Molle , the sheath is equipped with a snap-on MOLLE strap allowing the knife to be carried vertically.
Available in mixed or smooth blade of your choice.

Superbe couteau , esthétique et de qualité, robustesse et prise en main parfaite .
Je serais un peu moins positif sur l etui.
Et surtout sur la partie souple de ce dernier qui permet la fixation sur une ceinture .
Mais à ce prix là cela reste un très bon ensemble, qui me donne totalement satisfaction.
