The paring knife has its place in every kitchen. It is very versatile; you can use it for multiple tasks such as cutting thin slices or peeling fruits and vegetables but also at the table when enjoying your favorite dishes.
We offer you the model from the French brand Déglon, its design is inspired by traditional Japanese knives, you will find:
- An 11cm long blade , in Damascus 67 steel (Damascus VG-10 surrounded by 66 layers of 420 and 431 steels) offers each blade a unique and elegant result, this exceptional alloy gives a remarkable sharpness.
- A 118mm long handle, Corian type comparable to marble for its hardness and beautiful colors, the handle has excellent resistance to shocks, stains, UV and bacteria.
- The blade and the handle are linked by a stainless steel rivet allowing a comfortable and secure grip.
Using advice :
The blade contains a higher than average level of carbon, so it will be more susceptible to corrosion. If it is not washed and dried properly, it may rust. Therefore, it must be kept away from humidity.
Attention : for optimal conservation of its qualities and long-term performance, this knife is not dishwasher safe. Simply hand wash with mild soap, rinse and dry immediately. Store in a dry place.
Despite its above-average rigidity, like any knife, it must be well sharpened to maintain the quality of its edge. You can sharpen the blade using a whetstone or a steel. In addition, always use a cutting board, this way you preserve the edge of the blade longer.
