The new Extrema Ratio BF0 is the smallest and most compact of the Basic Folder series.
It has a techno polymer handle which reinforces its resistance, but also its lightness thanks to the steel frame.
The liner lock safety system guarantees one-handed closing and opening. It is produced in the version with Drop blade and StoneWash finish.
At first glance, Extrema Ratio's BFO CD looks as brutal as one would expect. But behind the mask, we find a rather sober and nice EDC knife. But there are a number of areas where this knife deviates from the current standard.
The handle is a good example since it is, like most of the other knives in the Extrema catalog, made of aluminum instead of the titanium so popular today. Since these are European-made knives, they are also not made from well-known American or Japanese steels. Instead, Extrema Ratio often uses Böhlers N690 steel as its reference steel.
The shape of the blade provides a long, straight edge to work with. It also gives you what can almost be described as a short secondary edge that is also sharpened at a more obtuse angle than the rest of the blade.
