What is AUS-8?

AUS-8 steel is of Japanese origin, just like its "cousin" VG10, it is a material used for forging knives, it combines efficiency, hardness and resistance. Initially, it was used for cooking, but the material was so versatile and robust that it was exported to another market: the design of survival weapons.
