AFO II automatic knife - Benchmade

The AFO II is in the category of best automatic knives. The quality is excellent. It's not free that's for sure, but it's well worth the money spent. Its blade holds its edge over time better than many other high-end knives.

We love the elegant, sculpted shape of the scales of the black anodized 6061 T-6 aluminum handle. The milled ridges provide excellent support with the grooves that conform well to the shape of the hand. It actually fits my medium-large hand perfectly. I don't know of another Benchmade knife that feels this good in my hand.

The handle has a wrist strap pass-through in the end and a window breaker in case you need to break a car window, another nice touch and improvement over the original model.

The AFO at Benchmade was the very first automatic knife blank and it has gone through a huge amount of upgrades over the years, the basis being sound, so the design has always remained the same. The 9051SBK AFO-2 automatic push button has become an EDC, the ultimate tactical knife proven and used in all branches of the US armed forces.
