An ideal companion for outdoor activities , the Benchmade Hunt Flyway is a compact hunting knife featuring a high-performance SelectEdge blade and quality American construction. The fine, scalpel-like tip is ideal when control is essential, with grooves in the front for strength and a full tang construction handle, the Flyway is an excellent lightweight utility knife. The Flyway comes with a stonewashed CPM-154 blade and hi-viz orange G10 handles and a Boltaron sheath.
Blade: The less than 7 cm blade is completely flat with a 14 degree SelectEdge for exceptional slicing performance. Easy to maintain, the CPM-154 stainless steel blade features a sturdy stonewashed finish that hides wear from use and a back reinforcement for greater control.
Handle : Full-tang construction supports contoured high-visibility orange G10 scales that make the knife comfortable to use and easy to find in the field. Wide scallops on the back improve grip, and black stainless steel screws allow the handles to be removed for cleaning if necessary.
It is carried in a molded orange and black Boltron polymer case.
CPM-154 : A particle metallurgy (PM) version of the Crucible 154CM that benefits from the refinement of the PM process. A versatile blade steel, CPM-154 features D2 level edge retention, AEB-L level corrosion resistance and strength comparable to other PM stainless steels, with ease of sharpening and finishing.
