Made of unvarnished white oak, this Bokken has dimensions similar to those of a Katana sword and is characterized by its great durability.
The Bokken is a versatile tool that can be used to perform exercises with a partner or fixed movement sequences (Kata). The quality Japanese Bokken is made from white oak, a durable and smooth wood. The wood fibers are parallel to the length of the bokken in order to minimize the risk of breakage but to preserve your bokken and avoid wear it is important to use an oil (for example Tsubaki camellia oil by Kane Tsune) which gives it additional protection against dirt and humidity and increases grip in case of perspiration.
