Boker's story

Since the 17th century, Boker has been one of the largest knife and cutlery manufacturers in the world. Its rich history and quality products allow it to stand out from other brands in the knife industry.

Boker: Before

Boker's iconic chestnut tree logo is more than just a brand icon, it is a representation of the resilience of the Boker brand through time. The Boker brand has survived several wars and multiple economic crises over the past 300 years. Their commitment to producing a great product has helped them overcome tough times and propelled them to the top of the knife world.

Boker Knives as we know them was founded in Solingen, Germany in 1869 as a tool manufacturer. With wars, the demand for weapons increased. Boker began producing sabers in 1829 and nearly 2,000 pieces were handmade by the end of 1830.

In 1865, Heinrich Boker's brothers, Hermann and Robert, emigrated to North America to establish Boker & Co. and Casa Boker, respectively, as premium knife makers in North America. Back in Solingen, Heinrich Boker expanded his production to razors, pocket knives and scissors.

After the war, Boker reconnected with Boker New York and knives began to come out of the factory in Germany again. Since the 1960s, Boker has been a leading knife brand in the United States. Its production of quality sports and collector's knives has allowed it to grow strongly in a saturated market. Innovation, quality and a wide price range make their knives more accessible to consumers than other brands.

Boker: Today
