Our new Autocrat 3400 knife is the latest innovation in technology for tactical and EDC product enthusiasts. This knife is Benchmade's first open-face knife to use composite handles, combining the durability and wear resistance of G10 with a host of colorful materials and components. The CPM-S30V double-edged blade offers users a sleek design for a wide variety of applications.
The Autocrat blade is made of CPM S30V stainless steel, developed by Crucible Industries. Crucible is known for making premium steels intended specifically for high-end knives, such as those created by Benchmade.
This steel has an almost perfect balance between hardness, strength and sharpness preservation. Although this balance has been developed by other manufacturers, Crucible is one of the only ones to have managed to reach this level. This balance is complicated to achieve because the steel must be hard enough to maintain its sharpness, but the harder the steel, the less resistant it will be. Crucible has achieved this with the CPM S30V and therefore offers you one of the best blades.

Quality blade
- Its CPM-S30V blade is a stainless steel, it is characterized by a high volume of vanadium carbides, which allows it to better resist wear and friction. Its hardness, estimated at 58-60 HRC , offers you a sharp and sharp blade.

DLC coated blade
The blade is finished with a DLC coating. This is the most robust coating available on the cutlery market. He is known for being rock hard. Which offers it both better resistance and increased durability.

What is the CPM-S30V?
It is a stainless steel, it is also a martensitic steel (phase in which it transforms into chromium with the addition of vanadium. Thanks to its high volume of vanadium, its resistance to abrasion (wear by friction) increases considerably. In addition, its manufacturing method which is “powder metallurgy” offers better homogeneity and isotropy.
